A couple of cool vintage things that have come through lately… the first is a FujiyaCo Fujiya Corder. It was originally a functional reel-to-reel tape recorder in 1958 or so… but the input didn’t work and the record head was damaged at some point, so I converted it into a mean little guitar amp. Sounds vintage as hell, and the circuit is pretty interesting: a preamp pentode into a several tubes I had never heard of. Weird.
The second thing is this Teisco Del Rey ET-230. It’s the best Teisco that I’ve ever played, with crisp pickups, good fretwork, and trem action that would put a Bigsby to shame. Unless you can cough up some serious dough, this one is going in my secret stash!
