About Go Music in the Loop

The Official Story

Go Music has been around in one form or another since 1948.

Originally founded as Baton Music, the business arrived in the Loop decades ago. In mid-2008, the store was bought by Joel Schad, remodeled, and restocked.

The Unofficial Story

In 2007 the owner bought a 5-neck guitar. (Really!) ...Unable to gig it out in any practical way and with no one interested in buying the instrument, he bought a store in which to display the unusual instrument.

Also, "go" means "five" in Japanese.
